R-Sim 8 on iphone 4s iOS 7.0.2

i have a Iphone on Orange and trying a 8 to unlock, when i put my old orange sim in the phone its fine i get no service as the sim is off, yet when i put the same Orange sim in the R-sim i get the Authentic phone screen and then sim fail try again same as when i just put my T-mobile sim in any ideas what wrong is the R-sim 8 i have faulty is a gen one as check on the sticker code
