I purchased a R-SIM 9 to use on my iPhone 5 which is locked to EE UK. The R-SIM 9 got stuck inside my SIM card slot, so I had to open my phone and eject it manually (the SIM pin ejector didn't work). I got the SIM tray out and the SIM card and R-SIM 9 was still stuck inside. I eventually got both the SIM card and R-SIM 9 out.
Now whenever I insert a SIM card into my phone, I always get "No SIM". I always get "No SIM" even if I have R-SIM 9 installed or not. I have also tried different SIM cards. I believe R-SIM 9 has damaged my SIM card reader, however do you think there any other causes/issues which can be fixed? I restored my phone to ensure it's not a software issue, now I can't activate and use my phone since you need a SIM card to activate an iPhone.
How do I go about solving this issue? Do I need to have the SIM card reader on the logic/motherboard of the iPhone 5 replaced? What can I do?
