Hi Guys,
I wound if you can help me.
Over 5 years ago I changed my cluster in my Golf mk3 from a stranded one to an Anniversary/SE cluster (one with silver dials).

Since fitting the new cluster the mileage has always been wrong but I have always logged the correct mileage for MOT time.
As I have been messing with eeproms more I fancied giving this ago so I dug out an old golf mk3 cluster to mess with.
Anyway pulled the below dump:
http://ift.tt/1zAsBuD
with 106484 mile from my test cluster.

While searching online iv worked out some use the first top 4 rows and some just the first line on the top row.
Then I found a forum that completely confused me. one guy asked for a mileage correction that has 4 lines complete but an fellow member (on there) only changed the top begin line
anyway i uploaded both dumps to the cluster and both worked so I then copied the first line from the changed dump to my original dump and it also worked.

I have tried every program I can find of online to adjust the mileage but non seem to work.
Can anyone shad any light on how I can calculated the hex please.
My current (original) mileage of my car is 163,186 and the cluster fitted has 126,840 and my test cluster has 106,484.

Just though I would post my story as I don't want anyone thinking I'm dodgy :D
