N900T Unlock/Octopus Connect Problems

Using newest Octopus Software 1.7.3

Android 4.3



Apparantly this new version of the Octopus software does the unlock procedure a little differently.



Cannot "Read Info" under "Android/EFS manager" tab, but can under "Main" and "Repair IMEI/SN" tab.



After searching on here, even downloaded and isntalled "Minimal ADB", opened cmd promp, ran adb shell, approved security prompt on phone. That made Octopus software show a new line, saying "ADB server killed", but still cannot even "Read info" under "Android/EFS manager" tab.

To connect SM-N900T phone you have to perform the following steps:

1. Disconnect USB cable from phone.

2. Go to Menu->Settings->More->About Device.

3.Tap on "Build number" 7 times to enable developer options.

4. Go to Menu->Settings->More->Developer options.

5. Turn on "USB Debugging" option.

6. Go to dial window.

7. Enter "*#0808#" number.

8. Select "DM+Modem+ADB".

9. Press Home button.

10. Go to dial window.

11. Enter "*#9090#" number.

12. Set "Diag config" to "USB" value.

13. Restart phone.

14. Press "Read Info" in software.

To Unlock of the device, do the next steps:

1. Root the phone.

2. Perform Wipe Security procedure ("Repair Security/Wipe Security" button).

3. Write Certificate ("Write Cert" button).
