iPad 3 Fixing project

Dear friends,

Iam new here so let me introduce myself first.

My name is Ziko, 25 years old guy living in The Netherlands.

I finished my study in Electrical (Embedded Systems)

So iam familiar with hardware.

I speak Dutch, German very well but my english is not that perfect so sorry for the wrong use of my words

Thats me so Hello to all.

My Problem.

I have bought a Ipad 3. I must say that it suffered a lot I think.

The problems:

1) Touchscreen not working at all spots (FIXED)

2) Rotation doesn't work. (since ios7 has moving background. my ipad background spins crazy)

3) Powerbutton works 50% (on/off doesn't work, but when holding the button the turn off screen displayed)

4) Back camera doest work (when opening the camera in iOS)

5) Backlight is half dimmed

1) Touchscreen not working:

When I opened the Ipad i saw on of the connector closer for the touch was broken.

Solution:

I applied a thin papier on the touch cable so it would be thicker in the connector port. (Cannot attach picture yet)

2) Rotation doesn't work. (since ios7 has moving background. my ipad background spins crazy)

Settings i checked and is ok And since the background dance i think the Chip or IC is damaged.

Does anyone know where it is located? the main board or the pcb board

3) Powerbutton works 50% (on/off doesn't work, but when holding the button the turn off screen displayed)

I know the power flex is connected to the PCB board and the PCB board flex pins (which are solde on the PCB board) are not all connected well

(Cannot attach picture yet)

4) Back camera doest work (when opening the camera in iOS)

Wen launching the camera it gives a black screen and does nothing.

PCB Connection with the flex?

5) Backlight is half dimmed.

Will a new LCD do the magic? or do i need to repair the IC and filter on the main board.

(Cannot attach picture yet)

Since i know the PCB connection is not 100% and missing a frontcamera. i Already ordered a new one so have to wait for that one.

Can it be that the rotation ic is located on the PCB board? That will fix 2 problems at once.

I hope someone can try to help me out here.
