Dont know if this is a BUG or trick but i got as NCK 9 Digits and was driving me nuts until i remember some motorolas is only 8 digits... and UNLOCKED!!
1. Install drivers
2. connect phone
3. select connection type in phone
(pull down screen, and select usb connection mode: select PC MODE
4. read codes (direct unlock didnt work for me)
*dont know if need it, but just in case i set unknown sources and usb debbug
