Hello guys, it's that time again, another error 1.
I'd like to start this thread with these words, i know there is alot of topics about this error but because im not a professional technician i dont feel that they answer everything that i need.
The iphone 4s im trying to fix was damaged by water, my friend dropped a glas of water near the phone and didn't notice for about 20 minutes, i don't know how you would miss such a thing, since then it was constantly searching so im guessing it shorted out a diode or so.
The phone was given to me about 1,5 months after the incident, i opened it and took out the motherboard, i put it in IPA 99,9% to clean it, no visible corrosion.
I tried to upgrade the phone and it's now stuck on recovery ofcourse.
C126_RF, U1001_RF, U18_RF, U17_RF are on the board and they look clean but the problem is that i don't know how you guys check the voltages on the diodes because they're so small, how do you check if they're working i cant find info about that, please tell me how.
I've seen solutions where you jumper the connections, that i can do but i don't want to remove a diode that may work that's why i really wanted to check with you guys/gals first.
I guess that you only need to reball a chip when it has moved due to very hich tempratures or if you drop the phone, in theory i shouldnt be needing to reball any chip due to the fact that only clean water was in contact with the board.
Any tips for me?
Thanks for you'r patience!!!
