iPhone 3GS GPS Stops Working

Hi all,

I have three iPhone 3GS. The GPS works perfectly on one of them, the other two don't get a lock, that is the pulsating blue ring on Apple Maps.

If I take the screen assembly (screen, digitiser, home button, speaker etc) off the working iPhone and put this "good" screen onto one of the iPhone where GPS didn't previously work, the GPS will start working. Conversely, if I take the "bad" screen and put it onto the phone where GPs was working, the GPS will no longer work.

All three screens appear to have the same grounding tape and metal tabs, I can't see any physical differences. One of the "bad" screens is brand new off fleaBay, the other is an older screen that is cracked from a previous drop.

What am I looking for that would cause a GPS to start/stop working when the only thing changing is the interchanging of screen assemblies? Interference from somewhere? Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks
