Lenovo A6000 4G or LTE on US Consumer Cellular

Lenovo just released A6000 LTE Android (kitkat) smart phone in India and happen to be there at that time and bought myself one to use it here in US on my current Consumer Cellular network provider. Consumer Cellular uses ATT GSM bands.

They tired adding some APN settings but I am not able to get more than 2G speed on this 4G and LTE phone.

Can someone please help me out to make it work at 4G or LTE speed on Consumer Cellular? I am in love with this phone and it's my first Android phone. I don't want to give up so easily. Not sure if there is a way to "tweak" the bands to work with here is USA if APN settings are not going to work.
