OK, this thread goes to another I have posted about needing help on an iPad mini. Finally removed the PMIC. It was, or appears to be, where the short was as the short is gone now. Removing the IC, there were about 14 pads that came off with IC. None of these pads go to anything on the top layer, and I'm not sure they go to anything on the second layer. How many blanks do they normally have? Experts please feel free to chime in here. I'm guessing my heat wasn't hot enough. Anyways, do you guys think there is a need in trying to replace? I don't see any sign that the missing pads were attached to a second layer.
